Unity: Divisibly Possible?

As I close my eyes and drift away to a land where there is love, health, peace, and blessings. I wanted to take the time to think and reflect.

When engaged with foreign policy or diplomacy at international level, this work requires immersion and focus in these areas. When engaged with national issues, what is taking place, we are immersed and focused in this area. While each are supposed to be for the best interests of a nation, that one is serving and protecting, we can think of these area being separated, but also connected. We don't really think about what is happening within a nation, until we are within, gain first hand experiences, and realize that while a nation state is united with the human made boundaries, naming, or flag; these symbols don't necessarily indicate unity within.

For example: We can think about the divisions that arrive from political opinion, party politics that cause divisions between individuals, organizations, communities, and even families. But why should it be this way? Do we need to validate our own political opinion so much so that families, friendships, are torn and ripped apart?

We can also think about certain movements such as the Alt Right or Alt Left. Movements that spring from within a nation, that have their own attitudes, beliefs, often being the source of surprise terrorist attacks. When we think of movements, divisions, and the separations that are rooted from these, I wonder about consequence, and how does this also affect the relationships that are created?

Can we gain a complete sense of wholeness, or unity within, whilst also possessing a separate opinion or belief? There are boundaries, and there are limits. We need some sort of unity.

A bird cannot fly with one wing. The wings can become a little damaged, the damage does not stop the bird from flying, but the bird needs both sides to function to soar higher.

In the same sense we can relate the metaphor of the bird to alt right, alt left movements. Will it ever be possible to own your opinions, beliefs, but also create a sense of unity when a nation needs to unite for the sake of eliminating / reducing home grown terrorism, and hatred. Is it possible to move forward together for social progress and growth?

Divisions can be solved. If this is mathematically possible then shouldn't it be possible at the human level as well?
