Thought Patterns.

As I close my eyes and drift away to a land where there is love, health, peace, and blessings. I wanted to take the time to think and reflect.

The truth is I was taking the time to think about my previous thoughts, especially when I mentioned the idea of allowing for happiness, or even making room for happiness. The key word in this sentence is - allowing. Too often we block our very own self from the happiness that we deserve, because we are stuck in a pattern of thought. This is why our thoughts are important as our actions, or even the words that we speak. Now I'm not saying that we must seek to attain perfection, but I am saying that we humans do possess the capacity to move away from thought patterns that hurt or harm the self.

For example: Let's take the example of suicide. Why would one attempt this act? Or why would anyone contemplate this? The very act or attempt happens, and is derived from our thoughts. This is a complex example, and we have to remember that destructive behaviour is often the result of both internal and external factors. But what about someone who is on the road to recovery? We want to make sure, or help to reduce suicidal thought patterns. We can do this if we know and understand that every thought that we think, is like an imprint upon the sub - conscious part of the mind / brain. The sub - conscious will repeat these thoughts to the point of action. To possess this awareness of the capability of thoughts, could probably end up saving someones life.

We can even take this idea or thought to the example of health, or wanting to diet or loose weight. If we continue to say to ourselves: I want to loose weight, because I am over weight or fat, we automatically send these words to our sub - conscious mind. But also the negative connotations that surround these words will have an imprint upon our thoughts.

The negative connotations that are surrounded with these words, will have an impact upon our thoughts. They will probably end up making us not feel good about our bodies., and thus we fail to take care of the body, because we don't think that we are capable, or don't think we can ever shift our body to the state, shape, or weight that we desire. However, what if we were to simply shift and change the words, and thoughts that we send to our sub - conscious, such as: I want to work - out or  loose weight because I want to be healthy, and take care of the body, that takes care of me. Through these shifts we are sending a much more healthier message to our sub - conscious mind, and ultimately reap the positive consequence.

For anything to change, alter, or improve we ourselves must begin to examine what it is we desire to improve, change or alter, and how we can do this through baby steps for mental / mind health, and physiological health. Sometimes it will mean adjusting, changing, and eventually taking away negative, destructive thought patterns that have become normalized. Sometimes we ourselves don't understand the extent or impact of our thoughts, it is only when we begin to shift thought patterns, that we are able to recognize our thought routines.

Of course it is always important to remember, and be aware that many thought patterns are derived from experience. Let us be thankful for the good experiences and hope that we can shift negative experience that created negative thought patterns, into positives. We must understand that these were a part of life's teachings. We must allow for happiness and yes, always understand that we deserve happiness, including the self.
