The Shazi Show! :)

As I close my eyes and drift away to a land where there is love, health, peace, and blessings. I wanted to take the time to think and reflect.

The truth is that my mind wondered years back, probably 17, 18, 19, or maybe 20 years back, when I thought of my time as a full-time, stay-at-home mother. As a young mom I enjoyed the time together with the kids. When I look back I remain grateful for those happy days, and continue to reflect that being able to stay at home, as a full-time mom was a real luxury. We don't really define mother / fatherhood in this way, but I think it is. Especially as you are able to give your full, undivided attention to the children that have arrived in the world. It is a phase of life.

I realize and know that not all family dynamics, situations, or circumstance allows for this. Sometimes, but for the most part, I continue to believe that being present during the early years are important for parent / caregiver bonding, brain development, and growth. I especially enjoyed the most precious, intimate yet difficult times of breastfeeding the kids. Each for 2 years or more. My son / daughter (s) would latch on as if there life was absolutely dependent on me, and in the context of course it was. Sometimes I would turn on the T.V., watch the daily soaps such as The Bold and the Beautiful, or the T.V. talk shows of the day. It was a time mom and child got to be together, and a pause from the daily routines / chores.

Back to the present day, now as the kids have grown older, and myself having more time to myself. Sometimes watching the occasional T. V. does happen. On some odd occasions the morning regulars such as The Kelly and Ryan show. Sometimes Kelly seems anti-American, and sometimes she's just licking everyone's @$$. But  the thing that I liked about one episode, was the idea of Post-Traumtic Creation that was presented with her guests. The idea reminded me of being able to turn a negative circumstance, or negative energy to something positive. Sometimes it is the labelling that we do, that makes a person feel a certain way, about an illness, or health implications.

The words Post-Traumatic Creation reveal hope. A positive direction. We can even take this idea and connect it with philosophical thought. It is easy to allow a circumstance, or a situation to define you. But being able to adjust, or make every circumstance work for you, is also a skill for survival. Through traumatic events, or even through life itself. When we adjust how we think about what we face, the outcomes can be shaped very differently. If we focus on fear, failure, or pain that's what we get. But if we focus on happiness, success, health, or positive outcomes, that's what we'll get. Thoughts are things. They become tangible. It's like anything tangible that was created. For example: If I create art, what do I get? Art. It I wrote poetry, what do I get? Poetry. In the same sense, thoughts matter. Even how you think about yourself matters. Think positive, the higher the chances that you'll feel positive about yourself. We are never really taught how to manage our thought / emotional life. It comes with practice and awareness. Recognizing, or being consciously aware of what you are thinking, are the first steps to allow you to think about, how you think about what you thinking, and if thought patterns require alteration.

Actually, I love the realization that occurred in you. Sometimes, we don't need to expect big in order to receive great things to. We need to let things happen on order for us to achieve what we really need in life. If you have the willingness to learn, you will see how big possibilities really are. I hope that your wisdom will be shred on your readers so that they will know how to make use of the wisdom they will learn from life.
