As I close my eyes and drift away to a land where there is love, health, peace, and blessings. I wanted to take the time to think and reflect.
The truth is that with the many tragic incidents that we hear on the news, we wonder is there ever or with there ever be a pause for peace? Will everyone as a collective begin to understand that there is no power in control. Actually I would say control creates powerlessness. But with the bulging of pockets, and millionaires whose dollar value speaks for them. They can say that because of their worth, they should be able to possess some sort of control, power, about how the world works and operates. OK then if this is the case, yes the world could do with a helping hand, there are many issues to tackle, such as eradicating poverty, homelessness, investing in various sectors such as health, education, technology, arts, internships, apprenticeships, and mentorships for aspiring young leaders, entrepreneurs, and more. There is much work to be done. A helping hand should never be turned away. But what about the billionaires who get their claim to fame, they worked hard to get to where they are, and now it is their wealth and status that speaks for them. I wish this type of wealth upon no-one.
With the arrival of wealth also arrives a test. How will you think, act, and behave with this wealth. Sometimes wealth is the ability to use the means to take care of your family, this in a sense is the greatest charity. To give for the sake of your families well-being, and ask for nothing in return. And if you possess the ability to do more, and give back to society or your community, then what more could we ask for? You see everyone possess the ability to make change, or inspire another person. From the people hired for cleaning services who are the providers of comfort, to those making executive decisions in an executive board room, everyone can make an impact, and everyone can create change in simple tiny ways. But what bothers me is where there are individuals who have accumulated much, and think that they should automatically gain precedence over decisions, matters of a nation, or world populations, but can or should this be the case? Are these individuals informed, or how do they care about issues that affect a nation or the world?
Just because one has accumulated a whole lot of wealth, it does not mean that one has understood how to be with the world. Yes, of course we can say that these individuals are doing something right if their dollar worth is impressive, but when we ask the homeless person, the person working 9-5, or the family that is trying to raise their children about their view, of the billion dollar value of individuals if they care; would they care? I think not. The truth is -It's only when you start to give back with what you have that anyone will appreciate the billion dollar worth of individuals.
