Winning is not everything, although winning is great!!! I am grateful to watch history in the making with the baseball playoff postseason, where there is sportsmanship, fair play, and a game to play. While we may only think of baseball as a game, it is also a representation of your city, state, or nation. However; I was thinking about the controversial call that was made by the umpire / referees in Game 4, ALCS between Houston Astros vs. Red Sox, with regards to the home run. I clearly saw that there was no fan interference, and that in fact the ball was not caught by the Red Sox player. Jose Altuve did in fact hit a home run, that had the potential of two home runs. This call was not the right decision, and I absolutely disagree with the bad call made by the umpire. Just because someone is an umpire it does not mean that one cannot make a wrong judgment, where in fact one can. While it must also be noted that I am not writing in defence of Jose Altuve because I'm an Astros fan or not, it is because I believe that this was a wrong decision and needs to be revised, even if the game 4 is over. This thought is also reflective of learning and professions. Just because someone is qualified, has certain credentials or a professional, one would hope and put trust in those individuals, but it does not mean that error cannot occur.
