As I close my eyes and drift away to a land where there is love, health, peace, and blessings. I wanted to take the time to think and reflect.

What is truth?
The truth is: what is truth? The other day I began thinking deeper about this question, particularly when I thought about research articles. I have always questioned the results of studies, and what is believable or not. While I speak upon the level of general, I'm quite sure that there are scientific studies out there that to prove to be true, untrue, or vary in degrees of validity.

Human Nature
The question also involves thinking about human nature. Human nature is constantly in a flux. Changing. Shifting. In other words our human nature does not stay the same. Our human nature evolves. We could be in the same environment or different, but it never means that our thoughts remain the same.

Foundation
When our foundation is firmly rooted, we can spread our branches, flourishing, for the purposes of growth. The key hear is to remember the firmly built foundation. It is the anchor, it is the point of reference that we refer to, when there are moments of uneasiness, questioning, or we desire the enclave of unconditional love. Our branches are those points of growth, but they are also points of success, accomplishment, trials, and errors. Sometimes the branches grow, and sometimes we have to adjust. Notice what needs to be corrected to reach points for growth, success, accomplishment, however one chooses to define these.

The Branches
Points of success, happiness, accomplishments, trials, errors, or any other life factors that we choose to engage in, the degree / combination of these or what we perceive to be +/- varies between human to human. For example: Our perceptions, how we choose to view an experience is dependant upon prior learning, and experience.

*An experience with a re-occuring outcome will produce the same results. If we are not getting the results we need, then we know something needs to be adjusted. There is also the idea of perception, the view. Often what we see is what we want to see. For example: If I have a belief that art therapy is going to produce a positive healing outcome for individuals healing from trauma, I am more likely to sway towards this position, within my writing, literature searches, or studies. Or if I have learned that the scientific community is not invested in fully funding long-term studies, then of course what we see, aligns with our view, including our beliefs.

*Of course for the purposes of real studies, we must provide disclaimers, and make sure we ourselves remain ethical with how we choose to carry out studies. But it is always important to remember that data, collection of results, conclusions, are subject to trial and error.

What is truth?
With these thoughts I arrive back at the question of truth. What is truth? Can truth be found in books, studies, or is truth derived from the experiences of life itself? This is where  I think that we need combinations, variety, formulating wider perspectives, to build upon what we know, see, view, or perceive as truth.

Or are we to evoke the higher teachings, and think about topics through the lens of God / Spirit? This is where we must look within, look within to hear the teachings of the heart. Infuse the self, the soul in your arts, crafts, skills, teachings, work, study.

One friend told me than not all the time, we don't need to be truthful about everything; about ourselves. Of course, it sounded negatively for me at first. But when I got the chance to think of it, there were instances in life were in honesty and being true wouldn't be an answer to save a certain situation. There are instances wherein white lies have to enter. It's not because you simply want to lie, but you will know that it would be the best thing to do. I agreed with her alter on.
