As I close my eyes and drift away to a land where there is love, health, peace, and blessings. I wanted to take the time to think and reflect.
I was taking the time to think about my previous thoughts. I asked the question - So What Now? What now that we know that national, International and Worldwide terror is another social construction? As I write these words, we hear of the deadly fires in New York City, or the attacks on a Coptic Christian Church in Egypt. What next? The more we fight, talk against the terror, the more it continues. The truth is that words do have the power to create attitudinal shifts, but these simple words are not in control of terror organizations. With these words we can hope that human beings on all fronts come to understand and realize that killing innocent civilians is disgusting, wrong, and de-moralizing, not only for those those that are affected, but also for the rest of our human family, who are against terrorist acts. Globalization is historically and it is also constantly evolving through the present moments, and once again I say that tolerance is the key for building understanding, through the global growths.
We can relate these thoughts to the examples of Christmas and other religious celebrations that take place during the same time. Christmas is a cherished time for Christians. Chanukah and Kwanzaa also take place during the period of Christmas. Religious practices and traditions help to keep the beliefs and faith alive. It is how faith or religion survives. We can also think of how religious beliefs are connected. The birth of Jesus from a muslim perspective is also the birth of the Messiah. Jesus carried the voice of God, through his spirit. For Muslims to disrespect the Christian Christmas, is a disrespecting of the Muslim faith. And for the question of So What Now? We can or should never give up the hope that human beings can and will ever be able to live in peace and harmony with each other. We can never control the actions of others, but can try our best to control our own.
Dedication: The words of this human being are dedicated to the lives lost during the fire in New York and attack in Egypt, may you rest in peace. And to the families we send our love, prayer and condolences. My thoughts to share with love & kindness.
