As many readers have read through my previous writings / research, I wrote a lot about the Hispanic / Latino minority population in America, and the fact that this ethnic minority is the largest growing minority in the USA. Yet, this is the minority that is mostly lagging behind others, such as African Americans. I thought about this and wondered if an economic value of a "race" has also played a role in this. For example: there are many famous singers, athletes, celebrities, who possess a higher dollar worth, belonging to the African American race, as compared to those who belong to the Hispanic / Latino populations segment.
Whilst human life should be viewed as priceless and precious; monetary contributions, dollar worth has mattered as to which race is "looked after", and which is not. While there is still much more that can be done to obtain equity with race, and also within races. The monetary values have dictated and ensured the survival of certain races. We can think about how immigration policies, border land interrogations, are continuing to serve to obstruct and limit the success of the Hispanic /Latino's, when really they inhabited America before African Americans entered America.
FYI : I am a person belonging to a minority group and I have recognized the inequity between various minority groups.
My thoughts to share with love & kindness! :) Notes: These thoughts were originally hand written on September 30th, 2018. Image 1-Web Link
