As I close my eyes and drift away to a land where there is love, health, peace,, and blessings. I wanted to take the time to think and reflect.

The truth is that today is the day of remembrance for 9/11. I wondered if I should write today, or simply take the time to remain at peace, be silent, reflect and honor the fallen, injured, and the rupture that once again hurts the heart. Whilst the time of remembrance is particularly difficult, honored in various ways by many, it is also a time when a nation comes together in the spirit of unity, protection, togetherness, as one nation - to honor and remember.

I will also add never forget. While I have been cautious myself to use this term, I think it is necessary, because you have to remember that whilst the US does receive a lot of criticism, the US is integral to many efforts for peace building, diplomacy, foreign aid efforts, even with nations who were once considered enemies. The boundary / limit which is never forget, remind us that whilst these efforts exist, a nation also has its boundaries / limits. Where one seeks and hopes for these peace building efforts, but at the same time ensuring that the risk, or tragedies such as 9/11 never happen again.

After the event of 9/11, America was categorized as a nation at war, trying its best to ward off the enemy. However, as years progressed, the at war status has been removed to one of, at peace (Welfel & Khamush, 2012). I thought about the status of at peace. Craved it with passion, desires, and wishes that peace between former enemies, or even attackers could be possible. Maybe it is a possibility, maybe it is not  wishful thinking, ,or maybe it is?

But then I realized, whilst there are endeavours, hopes, aspirations for peace with all nations; peace has to be desired by all parties. Not for the gain of one or the other, but a mutual decision for all who desire this peace. Peace is never a gain for one, and a loss for another. Peace is never based on the exploitation of one. Peace is derived from equal sacrifice for equal gain.

Dedication: These thoughts are dedicated to honor the fallen, the families who suffered loss, injured who gave their all, to honor the memory of 9/11 as a nation, hoping that his type of tragedy never happens again. To Honor, Remember, and Continue To Hope For Everlasting Peace.

Response: These thoughts are also a response to the US decision for the closure of the Palestinian Liberation Organization. I too continue to hope for peace in the sacred lands of the Middle East for all. Palestinian and Israeli.

My thoughts to share with love & kindness.
