Reflection: So What Now?

As I close my eyes and drift away to a land where there is love, health, peace, and blessings. I wanted to take the time to think and reflect.

The truth is that I was taking the time to think about my previous thoughts. With the arrival of current globalization, increased technological advances, networks produced through the world wide web, we are possessed with the ease of communication, information, and also use technology to further our own learning, and growth. Technology and information is the current revolution that we are living. Through this revolution, we are also changing processes and trying to build learners so that they posses the skills to use technologies. We even see this happening in the field of higher education, where there is a push for skills based training. But in all cases we must continue to value thought, thinking, imagination, and creativity. As with the need for skills development, we also need thinkers for the world, to problem solve, and think of solutions as to how to solve the worlds problems, these are also skills. For this to happen we have to cultivate spaces where learners can think, create, and allow their imaginations to flourish. The development of thinking and thought arrives with a personal cost. Thinking requires environments and spaces where the mind is inspired, where thought can take place, often turning into a lifestyle. With thought and thinking, although it may not be seen, or the results are not immediate, thought requires sacrifice.

We many not be able to control the actions of terror groups, organized crime, killings, and murder, but we cannot loose hope for prosperity, love, peace, and global unity. A vision is a commitment. Maybe it is time to think about a revolution for global unity? Human beings desire wealth, and the creation of economic prosperity, and there is nothing wrong to desire this. But we also need to create a balance in the realm of desiring wealth, this includes health, and happiness. For the revolution of global unity, love, peace, and prosperity, it includes going back to basics, thinking about what we truly value, and using holistic learning practice, through the integration of technologies.

Economic prosperity, and global growth has arrived with the cost of terrorism, but this does not mean that everything else should be stopped. We have to push forward, and breakthrough the psychological distresses that have been caused. Global growth cannot be stopped, nor the growth of humans. A humans desire for growth is innate, it is built within us. So while we are learning, growing, developing, and acquiring skills, why not begin to prepare present and future generation for a new revolution?

     Conclusion
These thoughts conclude my thoughts with regards to globalization, modern terrorism and edcation. For the purposes of assisting teacher practice and promoting a vision for global growth, unity, and promoting holistic learning, I have complied a list of resources below:
