As I close my eyes and drift away to a land where there is love, health, peace, and blessings. I wanted to take the time to think and reflect. Take the example of Israel for instance - Israel has an army. Palestine does not have a formal army. So the power imbalance becomes visible. There is a powerful majority who is able to attack innocent civilians instantly. But Palestinian's who are living in the West-Bank and Gaza were forced out of Israel, because of how the land was divided. They were forced out, and Israel was falsely given rights, and claims to the majority of the land. So it has become a battle between Jews (Arab Jews included), and Palestinian Muslims (Palestinian Jews included). Israel has been protected for far too long, as wealthy nations and even the United Nations have kept quiet for far too long. Now I'm not saying that no one is erroneous on each side, because they are. But what I am saying is that Israel uses it's power to attack the vulnerable, and there are questions surrounding human rights. Is it a wonder that Palestinian occupied territory, and people would defend themselves with forming their own type of army that is known as Hamas? Or weaponry, rockets, women, men, and children protesting their rights? From a historical and present lens we can ask: Did it make sense to create divisions when really the land belongs to the people of Jesus, Moses, and Muhammad? And as it does truly belongs to them, I am sure they would have allowed others who don't belong to any of their faiths to live amongst them. May we strive to reach understanding and points for peace and love. My thoughts to share with love & kindness.
