D-Day 75th Anniversary

As I close my eyes and drift away to a land where there is love, health, peace and blessings. I wanted to take the time to think and reflect.

   True humility arrives from one can learn something new, something simple yet so profound, even when one is a learned person. This is what I thought about when I learned of the many nations that fought together in the Battle of Normandy, that took place in World War II. 12 nations participated in this invasion. Australia, Canada, Belgium, France, Czechoslovakia, Greece, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

As a symbol of this new / renewal of learning I decided to have my nails painted with a manicure and French tips. For the 75th anniversary of D-Day, an expansion of my learning. Also to include  inspiration, artist Frida Kahlo who visited France to display her art work. The remembrance is of importance because we cannot forget those that gave thier lives in the past, that have formed the present day. Of course, I wonder that those who did sacrifice, probably did want future generations to enjoy life, protect nations, and love life. But we also have a duty to honor this memory, for all that they sacrificed. ​
