As I close my eyes and drift away to a land where there is love, health, peace and blessings. I wanted to take the time to think and reflect.
Yesterday I wrote about the potential of sports, through the lens of creating diplomatic relations between nations. I also think (as I have written previously) that sports and the athletes themselves can teach us about character development, and what the human being / character achieves through the: act of being able to achieve a goal, and act on purpose. Whilst there is a lot of internal work done as well as external, such as training for the sport - what we are essentially viewing when athletes and teams are performing, is the act of trying to achieve a goal. It is through the viewership, we can see the many emotions, upheavals, downpours, losses, successes to wins. We can also see this when there is injury and how one desires to recover. The efforts from the self, as well as the many involved in care. Through athlete examples, we can transfer these ideas to any situation such as the achievement of a goal, or how one acts, reacts to a win or a loss. Ultimately it is the getting of a goal that one strives and desires for. But this shouldn't negate the effort one puts forth. So truly there never is loss, just learning.
The following thoughts are some of my own twitter reactions to the many sports that are taking place such as the French Open Championship won by Rafael Nadal, and the NBA and NFL finals. Thoughts that can be transferred to our human development and as a source of encouragement!
My thoughts to share with love & kindness! :)
