An Approach

As I close my eyes and drift away to a land where there is love, health, peace, and blessings. I wanted to take the time to think and reflect.

     The truth is I was taking the time to think about the idea of an approach. What is an approach? An approach is defined as:

Of course the approach will differ pending contexts. I wanted to relate the idea of how we begin to read a paper, or even a book. The best way to approach any reading is with an open mind. Without any bias, prejudice, or preconceived notions. When we begin from this point it does not limit our thinking, because we are open to learning material, and thinking about ideas that are contained within. 

     It is easy to form a bias or an opinion just from looking at a title. It may entice us or refrain us from continuing to read. But we have to move past the title if we are to learn anything. I am not saying a title is not important because it absolutely is. It is only when we begin to read through can we begin to formulate concrete opinions, connect ideas, and concepts. And then realize the value of the title. If we  approach any reading or topic for learning from this point of view, we become more open to learning , and in a sense tolerant to the ideas of others. These thoughts can also be related to the experience of life, where there will be positive and negatives, we have to take each as learning, if  we are to continue the journey of life.
