The Beauty Of A Question?
It Derives More Questions.
As I close my eyes and drift away to a land where there is love, joy, peace, and blessings. I wanted to take the time to think and reflect.
The truth is that President Trump gave his first address to congress called the Joint Address. This was a great learning opportunity for me to see and hear this speech take place. And I have to say that I was very proud of the way, President Trump carried himself as he delivered this speech. This was not a Presidential Candidate speaking, it was a President. We can even say that this speech out - performed his acceptance speech, that was delivered on the day he became President. This was a speech about hope, opportunity, optimism, and also an embrace of those who have served, and died for the United States Of America.
It was also a time to think about mistakes. Everyone can make a mistake. And the fact that the Navy Seal Ryan's wife was present at this address shows that President Trump has truly learned about what the impact of sacrifice. This was the first American Solider that was lost under his presidency, and ultimately there will be impact, and learning outcomes. Foreign operations have to be done strategically, with care, due diligence, intricate with details, and planning. One life lost is one too many, the cost of life is the ultimate sacrifice.
Whilst there was much to be optimistic about, the same hot topics of the travel ban, and the border wall were mentioned. Once again I urge President Trump, and his administration to think about alternative solutions with regards to the wall. We must not tear families apart, families belong together. These thoughts are also related to illegal immigrants within the country. We have to remind ourselves why these individuals are crossing the border, we should be working closely with Mexico to assist these individuals. Just as the lives of the military are precious, so are the human lives who are faced with dire circumstances. We must work together to resolve issues of crime, drugs, violence, and recognize the deeper sociological factors that are at the root of these issues.
With regards to the latest news of President Trumps accusation, of Former President Barack Hussein Obama's wiring of the Trump Tower, I think that it is absolutely a possibility. It must be considered. It can happen, just as technologies such as smart phones / cameras etc, are all wonderful for the purposes of communication, but these devices can be easily used to track, measure, and even retrieve personal private information about individuals. Take a read of your contracts with your smart phone provider (hint). This can happen to anyone even as we heard the news today of Vice - President Pence's wife's email was published to a newspaper outlet. This is absurdity.
Also; even though President Trump cited this claim without any evidence, I think that he has every right to do so. I mean: isn't this what Philosophers, sociologists do? They posit idea without any empirical evidence, and want everyone to believe what they say. This is why I do think that there has to be an element of evidence based facts within the realm of thinking. However, every idea / hypothesis always starts out as a question. It is a question that desires to be answered. All the talk about media lies and the claim made today to require some investigation.
Every one should be able to speak, listen, share, there should not be a ban on news media. If there is reason to believe that certain institutions are lying then there has to be an investigation. Also former President Obama, is former President now. It is only fitting that former President Obama uses his time to build his life as a citizen, and stand with the United States Of American. We have to remember it takes time for citizens to accept a new President, it also takes some time for a President to also settle into his new role. These thoughts can also be related to the paradigm shift that I wrote about earlier.
Dedication: These thoughts are dedicated to the question, yes the question mark which I am so grateful for, questions derive more question, they can further our thinking, and also eventually lead to the larger events such as positive societal shifts. And to all human beings, my thoughts to share with love & kindness! :)
Notes: These thoughts were originally hand written on March 4th, 2016.
