As I close my eyes and drift away to a land where there is love, health, peace, and blessings. I wanted to take the time to think and reflect. I found it motivational, but the deeper meaning behind this tweet reflected a message that conveys the building of unity, and when we work together, or as a team the chances of success for the self, and the team are much higher. We can take the example of a soccer game, where individuals co-operate with each other, for the collective success. But when there is a loss, the team also accepts this as a collective loss. Revealing that at the heart of teamwork is ownership, and responsibility to the group, for each others success or failure. This is why the name team comes to play, because we are united with a common goal. While there might be different positions on the field, which we could also name as opinions. Players / individuals aim to resolve the play / opinion the best way that they know how. In the case of athletic persons - the training that they possess, or in the case of the individual, the opinions / knowledge / skills they possess, to find solutions or resolutions. While sports might seem different to social innovation, there are similar features. In the same sense we can think about the party politics of a nation, or the nation as a whole. While everyone has different opinions, ideas, or goals, if the values or the common goals of a nation are forgotten, then fragmentation happens. This is again where there is a need to balance between difference of opinion, and the common goal of unity for a nation, at the national and international level. Where there is imbalance, there is also fragmentation. Fragmentation brings forth weakness. While we can strive to aim for perfection, we must find effective solutions where there is weakness. In policy formation / practice, and also to continue to build on strengths.
