As I close my eyes and drift away to a land where there is love, joy, peace, and blessings. I wanted to take the time to think and reflect.
The truth is that I was taking the time to reflect upon International Women's Day. As with all celebratory days: I think that it is great to have these days to serve as reminders as to what they are set out to stand for, however I also believe that what these days stand for, should be remembered each and every day.
Women's rights, voices, groups, and social upheaval have come along way through the years. This is never to say that inequality does not exist. Inequality does still exist, but it is not the same as usual. At this present moment in time everyone is aware of the inequalities that do exist. In some cases inequality is seen as something that is done on purpose, by the hierarchical structures, and also the invisible barriers. Inequality can be seen as something that is done on purpose to bring specific beings down. It is not that men or women are incapable, it sometimes means that some individuals do not want you to succeed. So they purposely put you down. This is exactly what we are seeing in some cases in the micro level. But it can also be seen in the macro level as well.
An example of this is President Donald Trump. He is purposefully bashed each and every day. Sometimes this is done on purpose because he is speaking truth, and people don't want to the public to believe what he is saying. So opposing parties purposefully bash him, to discredit his personal character. This is a political strategy which is geared to appeal to human emotion. The rhetoric that are being used are an ethos - an appeal to emotion. The human opinion is easily swayed when we appeal to emotion.
You may ask why I am writing about a male when I should be honoring women for International Women's day? Whist I may not agree with everything President Donald Trump stands for, I am writing about this to signify that there are males who manipulate women, to push them down on purpose. There are also women who push men down on purpose. There is also women to women, and male to male bashing.
The problem isn't that we need to raise awareness about the inequalities, the problem is that human beings continue to remain ignorant on purpose, because they don't want to see you succeed, or oppose you. This is the bitter truth , like it or hate it. This is exactly what is happening in our time. You can be the most loving human being who wants to do so much good, but there will always be those who desire to see you fail.
Hope: With these thoughts, I also desire to share my hopes. I believe in the voices of men, women, and all genders. We have to be able to hear one another, listen to one another, because it is these gender differences and voices that make - up the very fabric of our society. With the revealing of this inequity and ignorance, we should strive to work together to create a harmonious peace.
Dedication: These thoughts are dedicated to all the survivors, I share hope. My thoughts to share with love & kindness! :)
